If you or a loved one has been diagnosed with cancer, you need a team of people in your corner supporting you every step of the way. That’s who we are.
We are the nurses and therapists helping you through treatment. The experts on the end of the phone. The advisers telling you which benefits you’re entitled to. The volunteers giving you a hand with the everyday things. The campaigners improving cancer care. The community supporting you online, any time. The fundraisers who make it all possible.
Cancer is the toughest fight most of us will ever face. And the feelings of loneliness and isolation that so many people experience make it even harder. Now, more than ever, we need people like you to join our team and get involved.
No one should face cancer alone. And with your support no one will.
‘ We are delighted that The Great British Cook Book have chosen Macmillan Cancer Support as one of their charities for 2014. Macmillan believes that no one should face cancer alone. Cancer is the toughest fight most of us will ever face. And the feelings of loneliness and isolation that so many people experience make it even harder. Without the support of companies like The Great British Cook Book we would not be able to provide the much needed services for cancer patients and their families. No one should face cancer alone. And with their support no one will.'

Hospitality Action is the trade charity offering a crucial lifeline to people of all ages, working and retired, from the hospitality industry.
Whether we’re approached by a chef, chambermaid, school cook or bar staff, Hospitality Action will endeavour to support, whatever the difficulty.
Sometimes all it takes is a very small change in circumstances to tip the balance and turn a manageable situation into an unmanageable one. An extended illness such as cancer can lead to a drop in pay.
Other circumstances such as a relationship breakdown, bereavement or redundancy can also put a strain on the household budget.
We strive to keep our support relevant to the industry and so in addition to our long running grants programme we also offer help via our Employee Assistance Programme, alcohol and drug seminars and our very popular befriending scheme for industry retirees.
We receive no government funding and so are dependent on individuals and corporate bodies from within the industry.
With your support we can continue to grow and provide a vital lifeline to our industry.
Penny Moore the Chief Executive of Hospitality Action:

Hospitality Action helps people from all walks of life and from all areas of the hospitality industry. The money raised really will make a great difference to our work and help us to support even more people in serious need.”

it only takes a minute but it makes
