It’s all systems go here at The Great British Cookbook, with our team working hard to bring you an amazing compendium of mouth watering recipes, articles and special features. Let me introduce to you to some of our crew who are making it all happen.
Behind the scenes we are working with renowned designer Alexandra Hardwick to create some beautiful pages, which are sleek, stylish and reflect the amazing talent of the chefs featured. Alexandra has worked with esteemed clients, including The British Heart Foundation, Warner Music, Disney, Victoria’s Secret, Footlocker, Adidas, Stella McCartney, Intimissimi and Morrisons just to name a few. Her work is inspiring, as is her ethos, preferring to work with charitable organisations which are important to her. She has recently set up her very own design company called Line and Dot Creative, based in the historic Nottingham Lace Market, and you can visit her website here.
The Great British Cookbook also features stunning photography from Petra Medley, who captures the delicacy and personality of the beautiful dishes we have for you. She has 20 years of professional photographic experience, with a Masters degree in Fine Art Photography. Her work is intriguing and gorgeous, and her talents have led her to work for some amazing people, including Paul Smith, Burberry and Levis. We are amazed by her work for us, bringing creativity and professionalism to the table, and making our delicious dishes look just as scrummy in 2D! Visit her website here, and check her out in action below photographing some of the incredible cakes from the book.
The passion which runs through the veins of The Great British Cookbook most certainly runs through the veins of the people involved, the chefs and their food, the amazing team in the office and our designer and photographer. It’s a heartfelt project bringing fantastic food in the form of 200 recipes from 200 chefs in 10 regions across the UK, right into your hands in a beautiful e-book, which will be available on all platforms for your pleasure.
